2007 NHL Entry Draft!

Did you know Wayne Gretzky was passed over by two OHL teams in the 1977 Draft? Hard to believe!

The Coyote's had a dismal 2007 hockey season. The only upside was in drafting Kyle Turris with their 3rd pick. (First round). He had been touted as the number one pick by many, but was still available for Wayne to choose. Wayne made it clear that he was truly delighted to get Turris.

PATRICK KANE, JAMES VAN RIEMSDYK, KYLE TURRIS, THOMAS HICKEY, and KARL ALZNER were the first five players to be chosen. The surprise came when ALEXEI CHEREPANOV and ANGELO ESPOSITO dropped way down in the Draft to the dismay of many.

They Call Him Coach.

Gretzky has made a 5 year committement to the Coyotes. They call him Coach. I hunch Wayne wants another Stanley Cup and the only way he has to get it is through Coaching. Good Luck Wayne. (Click on images for complete story).
