In 1982 Wayne gretzky, (already the Great One), was a guest on the Paul Anka show. He sang, "The Devil Came Down to Georgia" . As well, Wayne sang a country song with Tanya Tucker in that same era, (1982). He is clad in his Cowboy clothes, and once owned a clothing store called "The Corrall". Wayne also made a guest appearance in, "The Young and the Restless", in the 80's. He played a mobster character and not all that well. It has often been said that if Wayne had to act or sing for his supper, he would starve.

My shameless love for Wayne Gretzky is almost the stuff of folklore at this stage in my life, but what can I say?? He really has done it again! Though I smiled like the Cheshire cat when informed, I did not know that Jari Kurri had an Olympic vote to throw Wayne's way? The result: Canada 56 - Korea - 53. GAME TO VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA

GRETZKY Collector's or Poster fans for bad behavior?

If there is one thing I have observed as a hobbyist who also sells items from my Wayne Gretzky Collection, it is how so many of 99's, "item worshipers", are his complete antithesis. In a world that rarely holds shock value for me, initially this defied even my logic?? For some unknown reason, I expected more from those who spend large sums of money just to have a piece of, "His Greatness", on display! Somewhere along the way I erroneously concluded that Gretzky Collectors might pay more than lip service to the very traits that make Wayne a Legend in his own time.
